Research in action
Our work sits at the intersection of ethics, health policy, and emerging technologies. We conduct independent, interdisciplinary research, deliver ethical impact assessments, and provide guidance on governance, regulation, and responsible innovation.

Exploring parenthood in light of ectogestation
Examining how emerging and speculative technologies enabling partial and full ectogestation may impact legal and social definitions of parenthood in the UK.

Neuroadaptive technologies and health
We examine the ethical, legal, and social implications of emerging digital and neuroadaptive technologies for people with complex or treatment-resistant conditions.
We bring together service users, clinicians, researchers, and policymakers to keep innovation human-centred, transparent, and aligned with public values. We are currently working with international consortia to make these projects come to life.

Astroethics
Our work in space bioethics (astroethics) examines the ethical and governance challenges of human health, genomics, and biological research in space as science expands beyond Earth. We explore the ethics of biological data in orbit, experimentation in microgravity, and frameworks to protect people and ecosystems, supporting responsible and collaborative approaches to the biological future of space exploration. We are currently working with international consortia to make these projects come to life.
